In the process of using the bearing, the bearing tends to cause some wear during the rotation due to some external factors, and the bearing wear will completely damage the bearing in the day-to-day increment, for example, there are several cases.
First, the bearing is improperly installed
1. Improper use when installing the bearing. Directly tapping the bearing with a hammer and transmitting force by the rolling element is the main cause of damage.
2, the installation adjustment is not in place, the installation is biased or not installed to the bearing position, resulting in excessive or small bearing clearance. The inner and outer rings are not at the same center of rotation, causing disagreement.
3. For seals, many customers prefer to remove the dense powder and then fill some grease before installation. This method is wrong. The seal can be used directly because it has been filled at the time of production. Grease is not recommended for unpacking and refueling. If necessary, it is recommended to clean all the original grease in the bearing and then replace it with new grease to avoid inconsistent grease type and cause premature bearing damage.
Second, the bearing lubrication is poor
According to the survey, poor lubrication is one of the main causes of premature bearing damage. The main reasons include: not adding grease or lubricating oil in time; grease or lubricating oil is not filled in place; improper selection of grease or lubricating oil; incorrect lubrication method, etc. Generally, the speed is lower than 3000 rpm. It is recommended to use grease lubrication. For example, the motor is generally grease-lubricated.
Third, bearing pollution
Contamination can also lead to premature bearing damage, which means that dust, metal chips, etc. enter the bearing. The main reasons include: opening the bearing package prematurely before installation, causing the bearing working surface to invade the pollutants; the working environment is not clean during installation, causing the bearing working surface to invade the pollutants; the working environment of the bearing is not clean, and the working medium is polluted.
Fourth, bearing fatigue
Fatigue damage is a common way of damage to bearings. Common causes of fatigue damage may be: long-term overload operation of bearings; failure to repair in time; improper maintenance; equipment aging.
